Media Release: SBH UK & Ireland launches fundraising drive for the Little Princess Trust in new charity partnership

SBH UK & Ireland put its directors through their paces this week, as it kicked off a fundraising drive for its new charity of choice, The Little Princess Trust.

The UK’s largest professional hair and beauty supplier held an employee event at its Wokingham headquarters last Friday to raise money for the charity, which provides real hair wigs to children who have lost their hair through cancer or other medical treatments.

Money was raised through a product sale and an ‘I’m A Director Get Me Out Of Here’ game show-style event, in which SBH UK & Ireland directors were treated to some unique beauty treatments such as maggot and slime facials, and a ‘detox’ smoothie of fish, garlic and chili.

Richard Hull, managing director, SBH UK & Ireland, said, “We are delighted to be supporting the Little Princess Trust as it is a charity that is not only close to our hearts, but also one where we can make a real difference to the work that they do. After a great start on Friday, we hope that every little bit of effort that we make across the business can help support this worthy cause. We look forward to seeing lots of fundraising activity happening across Salon Services in the coming months.”

Commenting on the first SBH UK & Ireland fundraising event, Monica Glass, charity manager at the Little Princess Trust, said: “Everyone connected with the Little Princess Trust is very grateful to the Directors and staff at SBH UK & Ireland for their support and enthusiasm.

“We are a small organisation which continually strives to have a significant, positive impact on children’s lives by supplying them with a real-hair wig at what is an incredibly stressful time in their lives, namely when they are suffering with cancer.

“The Trust relies solely on the generosity of kind and enthusiastic supporters such as the staff at SBH UK & Ireland and we are honoured that we shall benefit from their efforts this year.”
