SKILLED holistic therapists are raising funds for two Scottish charities by inviting members of the public to relax and enjoy a bit of pampering at a special Wellbeing Afternoon.

The event will take place on Saturday 13 July from noon until 4pm at the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre, 25 Palmerston Place, Edinburgh and will raise funds for two Scottish charities; Health in Mind and The Palmerston Trust.

Pammie Jo Proudfoot is one of the therapists organising the event and she believes that making ‘me time’ helps us all to stay well and be happy.

“The therapists donating their time on the day are all highly skilled and experienced and there is an extensive list of treatments for people to choose from which include Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy, Luxurious Hand Treatments, Head, Neck and Shoulder Massage, Crystal Healing, Reiki and Reflexology.

“Entry to the event is free and we are raising funds by asking for a minimum donation of £5 for each treatment,” she said.

A range of holistic and skincare products will also be available for purchase on the day and there will be an opportunity to win great prizes in the Wellbeing raffle.

Ann Treherne is chair of The Palmerston Trust, the governing body of The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre.

There, visitors will also have the opportunity to take part in group meditation and visualisation workshops led by Jane Hill, Meditation Therapist, as well as other therapies which they may find helpful and relaxing.

Ann commented: “In between treatments, visitors will be able to chill out in The Centre’s Café and find out more about the work of the two charities they are supporting.”

Places are limited, so booking in advance is essential. You can book your place by contacting the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre on 0131 625 0700 or by email at ACDCentre@hotmail.co.uk.

Health in Mind and The Palmerston Trust are registered Scottish charities with charitable status numbers SC004128 and SC042492.
