Media Release: New student accommodation in the heart of the city

APL

FINDING ideal accommodation during university or college term time can be tricky as one- and two-bed properties are in such high demand, resulting in only a few being on the market.

A leading Aberdeen leasing firm has recently taken on the contract to manage a new development of 56 studio apartments in the city, specially designed and built for students in the North-east

Aberdeen Property Leasing (APL) is now managing the Centro Court development in the city’s Loch Street on behalf of Scape Homes, whilst offering leasing services to new tenants.

APL, based in the city’s Rosemount area has been operating in the North-east for more than 30 years and will be managing the whole process from securing tenants, block factoring, rent collection and maintaining the general up-keep of the site and apartments.

The apartments range in size from 23-29 square metres and all include their own kitchen area, en-suite shower room, and study area/living area. The apartments come complete with a micro/grill, fridge with small freezer compartment, oven/hob, and double bed, and all have access to high-speed broadband.

The development also includes three apartments for disabled access and top floor apartments include an open balcony. Rent for the development varies according to size and position of each apartment and range from £165-£195 per week on a fixed, 51-week contract, including contents insurance and utility bills.

Sales director for APL, David Lamb, said: “The development is a key addition to the Aberdeen market as come this time of year one and two bedroom flats are hard to come by for student tenants.

“The apartments are ideal for a mature student or a student looking for a focussed year of study. The development is brand new, modern and each apartment is furnished and finished to a high standard.”

Director of Scape Homes, Stuart Duncan, said: “We chose APL to manage this development because they are one of the largest and most experienced letting agents in the area. They place more students in Aberdeen than any other letting agency and we have every confidence in their abilities.”

The site is due to be complete by early September, with bookings being taken from now for the forth-coming university term. Artist impressions of the development and studios can be viewed from APL’s website, www.primelet.com

APL offers guidance to landlords and tenants on all aspects of property leasing and maintenance as well as rent collection and administration. For more information call Aberdeen Property Leasing on 01224 635355 or contact the sales team on: centro@a-p-l.co.uk
