THE Scottish Fair Trade Forum is hosting a major national event to mark Scotland’s historic achievement in becoming the second ever Fair Trade Nation: The Fair Trade Festival 2013!
The Festival will be hosted by the Forum in the Station Hotel in Perth, from 10am-4pm on Saturday 7 September and aims to be Scotland’s biggest-ever Fair Trade event, with free entry for all!
The Fair Trade Festival will provide a valuable opportunity to reflect on what Fair Trade Nation Status means for Scotland and create a space for discussion around the future direction of Fair Trade in this country.
It will also allow people from across the country to come together and celebrate this momentous achievement.
The day will bring together supporters, organisations and members of the public, from across Scotland and beyond, for an action-packed and interactive day-long event.
Campaigners and sellers will be present to share their knowledge and showcase their products, whilst film showings, workshops, and guest-speakers will all serve to educate, inform, and amuse.
There will be a wide range of stalls providing information on many different organisations and campaigns, as well as stalls selling Fair Trade food, drink, crafts and beauty products.
Traidcraft will also be present to exhibit their exciting new range of products.
With treasure hunts, face painting, kick abouts and a bouncy castle to keep kids amused throughout the day, plus wine tasting and a bake off for mum and dad, the Fair Trade Festival 2013 is sure to be a fun-filled day for all the family!
