‘FAULT’, the debut EP from up and coming Scottish singer songwriter, Kate McCabe, is out now.

The four-track release, available from iTunes and Amazon, follows a busy summer for the talented 16 year-old which saw her perform acclaimed sets at Strathaven’s ‘Hangarfest’ and other gigs throughout South Lanarkshire.

Describing her sound as ‘alternative’, McCabe hopes this set of songs will take her closer to her aim of a career in the music business.

Citing Pink Floyd, Nick Cave, Danny Elfman, The Killers and King Charles among her influences, Kate says her own style is distinct.

“It’s hard fitting in my songwriting and gigs with school work,” she says.

“But nothing makes me happier than writing and performing. I’ve had incredible support from friends and family  but it was really the reaction from the people who saw me perform in Strathaven this summer that convinced me I should get into the studio and make my EP available to download.”

Marshall Craigmyle, Sound Engineer from Old Mill Studios, Strathaven assisted in the recording of the tracks and backing vocals were provided by both Kate herself and Katie Anderson.

Alongside the atmospheric title track, the Fault EP also features ‘Our Alphabet’ which McCabe describes as a love song from A to Z, the beautiful ‘Autumn’, which has a bluegrass feel and the anthem, ‘Rejected’.

The Fault EP by Kate McCabe is available to download from iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/gb/artist/kate-mccabe/id6095295 as well as Amazon, Google Play and other leading music download sites.
