A LEADING Scottish law firm has further strengthened its position in the Legal 500 standings with the publication of the 2013 edition.
Aberdein Considine has moved up to the second-top tier of the series for debt recovery, a move that sees the firm the highest ranked in Aberdeen and Perth for this specialist area and one of only a select handful of firms across Scotland.
The rise follows a period of strategic expansion for the firm, with the opening of two offices in Edinburgh earlier this year taking the total number of bases in Scotland to 17, with the staff now exceeding 330.
Rob Aberdein, partner in Charge of Debt Recovery and Dispute Resolution at Aberdein Considine, is delighted with the standing and believes that it is a reflection of the recent continued growth of the firm’s legal services.
He said: “The Legal 500 is a hugely respected publication within our industry and our enhanced standing is testament to the hard work that has been continued to be put in over the last year.
“It’s fantastic to be recognised as one of the country’s leading debt recovery teams and it definitely means more due to the fact our growing reputation and enhanced standing is based on independent research carried out by The Legal 500’s researchers.
“Clients have continued to be receptive to our different approach to providing legal advice and court representation and we look forward to continuing that through into 2014.”
First published in 1988, The Legal 500 has developed into the largest and most in-depth survey of the UK legal market, analysing the practices of more than 1,000 law firms and more than 220 sets of barristers’ chambers and Scottish stables.
Established in 1981, Aberdein Considine is a national Scottish law firm. They are a broadly based practice, offering corporate and private clients a complete legal, property and financial professional advisory service.
Their current annual turnover in excess of £17 million puts them amongst Scotland’s top 20 Law Firms. The Corporate Department works closely with a large number and diverse range of support businesses to the oil and gas industry and is based in Aberdeen.
