Media Release: North-east HR firm quiz night raises thousands of pounds for local charity

ONE of Scotland’s leading independent employment law, HR and health and safety firms has raised thousands of pounds for a North-east cancer charity.

Empire, which is headquartered in Aberdeen and also has offices in Glasgow, teamed up with chartered accountants, Hall Morrice, to host a quiz night at NOX nightclub in Aberdeen on Thursday 21 November.

The event raised almost £4,600 for CLAN Cancer Support, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

27 teams pitted their wits against each other, with a side from co-hosts, Hall Morrice, crowned champions.

In addition to the questions, there was a charity auction, half-time stovies and live entertainment from local singer, Paul Black.

Managing director at Empire, and quizmaster on the night, Steve Cook, said:

“The quiz night was a roaring success and I am extremely pleased that we raised thousands of pounds for CLAN.

“CLAN does some fantastic work in the North-east for anyone affected by cancer and I am delighted to be able to do my bit for such an important charity.”
