Media Release: Shortlist revealed for Highlands and Islands Media Awards

THE highly-anticipated shortlist for the Highlands and Islands Media Awards is revealed today.

The awards attracted 134 entries across the 11 categories, reflecting the wealth of talent across the Highlands and Islands.

The Media Awards are this year sponsored by Diageo, Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and Fujitsu.

Winners will be announced at the 2014 Highlands and Islands Press Ball and Media Awards, to be held on Friday, 7 February, 2014 at the New Drumossie Hotel, Inverness. Tickets for the night sold out in record time and organisers are now operating a waiting list.

One award already decided is the The Barron Trophy, which recognises lifetime achievement.
