Role encompasses development of brands and commercial opportunities for stations including Clyde 1, Forth One, Tay FM, Northsound 1 and West Sound FM
BAUER Media has appointed Colin Reid as its new regional marketing manager for Scotland.
Joining Bauer from Xscape Braehead, Colin’s key responsibility will be effectively marketing stations including Clyde 1, Forth One, West Sound FM, Tay FM and Northsound 1 as well as managing all partnerships and communications across the region.
Colin is in post as of January 2014 and will report to Catherine Gort, marketing mirector, Bauer Place, Northern England and Scotland.
Alongside Catherine, Colin will be working in a team led by Graham Bryce, the former MD for Bauer Media Scotland who took up the new, expanded position of group managing director, Place, Northern England and Scotland, Bauer Radio, late last year.
On his appointment, Colin said: “This is a tremendously exciting time for Bauer Media and I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining a dynamic, fast-moving business with some truly great brands such as Clyde and Forth.
“The business had a very successful 2013 and I look forward to helping the management team and all staff across the region build on that, by continuing to invest in the innovation and creativity that sets our stations apart from their competitors.
“I had a fantastic five years at Xscape Braehead which made it tough to leave but the opportunity to join the team at Bauer didn’t require a second thought and I can’t wait to get started.”
As well as Xscape Braehead, Colin’s previous experience includes roles with Scottish Rugby as community marketing manager and production manager at 999 Design.
