WE are publishing today, central elements of our new plan for 2014-24 in draft form, on-line for your feedback.
An important step for us in shaping our future ways of working, this document presents a draft version of the ambitions and priorities, which will form the backbone of our new plan, the final version of which we intend to publish in April 2014.
In particular, we would like to gather input into key sections from as many people as possible on the following:
* Shared vision
* Our purpose
* Ten-year ambitions and three-year priorities
* Connector themes
The current wording has been developed over the past few months with input from our staff and Board, from colleagues in partner organisations, and from representatives of the arts, screen and creative industries (including feedback received through the programme of Open Sessions and through the sector Reference Group).
We know that we can only be successful if we work in partnership, with shared ambitions and goals and we look forward to your feedback to this on-line consultation which can be accessed here until 5pm Friday 7th February.
Janet Archer, chief executive of Creative Scotland, said:
“We are committed to open and transparent development of this new long term strategic framework – we want everyone to feel that they have had an opportunity to contribute to the final version that we publish in April. We also want people to feel a sense of shared ownership. We have already consulted with many people through our Open Sessions, the Reference Group, by speaking to partners and those working across the arts, screen and creative industries.
“This on-line consultation presents anther opportunity for anyone to provide thoughts and ideas to help us shape the version of the plan that we publish in April. I hope as many people as possible take this opportunity and I look forward to hearing what people have to say.”
