ALEA Glasgow, Scotland’s biggest gaming venue, has bolstered its sales and marketing department with a pair of key appointments aimed at raising awareness of its comprehensive entertainment offering.

Kenny Kane joins the outlet in the newly-created role of event sales manager, whilst Lauren Moffatt joins as marketing executive.

With 20 years events management experience, including high-profile roles at The Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre, the London Barbican Centre, Gleneagles Hotel and the Portman Travel Group, Kane’s career has taken him from managing product launches to a global market for clients including Twinings and Diageo, to co-ordinating large-scale arena-sized concerts for Elton John and Pink, to delivering a personal and bespoke service to high-end corporate clients.

Of his appointment, Kane said: Working for London Clubs International at the Alea Casino Glasgow is an enormous privilege and responsibility. I’m greatly looking forward to managing the delivery of events, meetings and product launches and overseeing the commercial development of event spaces.

“From awards dinners and celebrations, to conference, meetings and product launches; the variety and flexibility of the multi-functional event spaces within Alea and quality catering and expertise of the in-house events team, is a winning combination for any event.”

Meanwhile, Balloch-born law graduate Lauren Moffatt joins Alea as marketing executive. Her role includes managing all online, digital and social media activity as well as assisting the organisation of Alea’s busy promotional events calendar.

Paul Rety, managing director at Alea Glasgow, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Kenny and Lauren to Alea. Their appointments reflect our commitment to invest in the enhancement of our offering to the local market and both will play key roles in helping us reposition Alea as an all-round entertainment and corporate events venue, rather than just a casino.

With show stopping live entertainment, a luxurious casino, gaming floor and three cool bars, Alea casino on the Clyde at Springfield Quay has a package to suit everyone and every budget. It boasts 16 gaming tables including Punto Banco, Roulette, Blackjack and 3 card poker, as well as daily poker tournaments and cash poker tables.
