STRIPE Communications has been appointed by MTV to handle the PR for the MTV EMA’s, following a competitive pitch with two other agencies.
Landing at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro venue in November 2014, the EMA’s are the jewel in MTV Europe’s crown. Synonymous with ‘must-see’ moments and ‘A’ list music collaborations, this star-studded, highly-anticipated event is the ultimate in appointment viewing for millions of international music fans.
Stripe has been tasked with engaging the brand’s core, digital savvy audience, whilst raising awareness of the awards show and additional MTV-UK specific initiatives on both a national and local scale.
Work will start from May 2014 for a eight month period.
Juliet Simpson, managing director at Stripe Communications, said: “Both the city of Glasgow and the Stripe team have an extremely busy and exciting year ahead and the MTV EMA’s ensure the year will end on a high.

The announcement comes days after Stripe became the only Scottish agency shortlisted for Consultancy of the Year at the 2014 CIPR Excellence Awards.
