Media Release: A new route from Glasgow to Halifax and Paris with the French airline, Europe Airpost

During the 2014 Summer season, Europe Airpost will operate flights between Paris, Glasgow and Halifax – the capital of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia

EVERY week during summer time, between 4 July and 29 August, Europe Airpost will connect Glasgow to Paris and Halifax.

The schedule for this very new route is as follows:

Glasgow – Halifax

Thursday : Departs from Glasgow 2:30 p.m.

Arrives in Halifax 5:00 p.m.

Friday : Departs from Halifax 10:00 a.m.

Arrives in Glasgow 8:00 p.m.

Glasgow – Paris

Friday : Departs from Glasgow 8:50 p.m.

Arrives in Paris-CDG 11:30 p.m

Thursday : Departs from Paris-CDG 1:00 p.m.

Arrives in Glasgow 1:40 p.m.

All times specified are local and subject to government approval.

The flights will be carried out with a Boeing 737-700, configured in a two-class lay-out, with a capacity of 128 seats: 24 in Premium class and 104 in Economy class.

Prices will start at £499 for a round trip to Halifax and £165 for a round trip to Paris, with all taxes and baggage fees included (Within the authorised baggage allowance).

Francois Bourienne, Glasgow Airport’s commercial director, added: “The French and Canadian markets are both extremely important to us and these flights will provide new capacity during the summer holidays, which is our busiest period of the year.

“It is also pleasing to see Halifax restored to our route network as there is clearly a demand for this service due to the strong links between Scotland and Canada.”
