Media Release: Get connected with the Scottish PA network

PAs working throughout Scotland will now have the opportunity to link up to colleagues across the country thanks to the launch of the Scottish PA Network.

The new organisation, which will include Aberdeen PA which was set up in 2010 and Glasgow PA which was established in August 2013, will also mark the launch of two new city groups – Edinburgh PA and Inverness PA.

Founder and director, Rosemary McLennan, set up the dedicated business network for PAs and office administrators after identifying a gap in the market for this type of service and there are now more than 2,100 PA members and in excess of 300 business members.

The PA networks provide a way for PAs to network with their peers to share advice and information and give business members a platform to promote themselves and their services to PAs.

“Following the launch of Glasgow PA I’ve received many requests for networks in other cities which is why I’ve now set up the Edinburgh and Inverness branches,” said Rosemary.

“But I’ve also had a lot of requests from PAs in other parts of the country, so launching the Scottish PA Network as an umbrella organisation was the logical next step.

“For the first time, PAs across Scotland have a forum which enables them to connect to colleagues across the country through the Scottish PA web portal (www.scottishpanetwork.com) in a way that is not city-specific.

“It is open to PAs and office administrators working in any type of business or sector in any part of the country.

“Our business members also have the chance to showcase their services and provide information to PAs across the country as well as within their own areas.”

Membership of the PA networks is free for PAs, office administrators and office managers while business members pay a fee to join the network.
