A SPECIALIST diesel engineering and spare part procurement services firm based in Aberdeen has made a key appointment following a growth in revenue by 400 per cent in the last year.

OEM Diesel Products, which was founded in 2012 to provide a single point of contact for companies sourcing engine services or spare parts in the oil and gas, marine services, and energy sector, has appointed Mike Park as non-executive director after a rise in turnover from a six-figure sum in 2013 to a seven-figure sum in 2014.

Mr Park, who has over 30 years’ experience within businesses throughout the North-east, joins the board as an advisor.

He is currently chief executive of the Scottish White Fish Producers Association, a board member of the Sea Fish Industry Authority, chair of Box Pool Solutions Ltd, vice chairman of the North Sea Region Advisory Council and also holds a ministerial appointment.

The company currently employs seven members of staff and seven contractors. Plans are in place to recruit a further six employees by the end of the year.

OEM managing director, Barry Park, said: “Mr Park’s appointment comes after an extremely strong start to 2014 for the company, securing a number of new contracts with a diverse range of clients in the oil industry and public sector, and he joins OEM in an advisory capacity to aid with the continued growth and success of the company.

“We are looking to move to a bigger base in Aberdeen to accommodate the growth of the company, and also plan to open a second office in the Netherlands by the end of the year.

“OEM is currently undertaking work with companies in the Asia-Pacific region so there are opportunities to open an international office within the next two years.

“We forecast a projected increase in revenues by a further 50 per cent for the financial year from 2014- 2015.”
