Media Release: Sporting Lets showcase the finest sporting estates at VisitScotland expo

Robert Rattray - Sporting Lets CKD Galbraith LR

CKD Galbraith’s ‘Sporting Lets’ department offers tailored Scottish fieldsport experiences to discerning clients and will be exhibiting at the upcoming VisitScotland expo on the 22nd–23rd April in Aberdeen.

Sporting Lets are attending the expo as a response to growing demand from countries that are not traditionally associated with fieldsports.

Says a spokesperson: “The company has an established track record stretching back over 50 years and, during that time, has proudly built unrivalled links with the great sporting estates of Scotland.

“We build single days or weeks of stalking, fishing and shooting together with accommodation to meet the specifications and exceed the expectations of our clients.

“Sporting Lets cater for both experienced and novice sportsmen and women who come to Scotland to experience the red deer rut, grouse amongst heather clad hills, bright rivers holding salmon and sea trout and crucially the traditions that stretch back hundreds of years, the wild landscapes and the luxurious hunting lodges.”

Says Robert Rattray, head of Sporting Lets: “Scotland unquestionably has some of the finest sporting estates and opportunities on offer and I am delighted to say this is increasingly being discovered by nationalities that traditionally have not been a major driver of demand.

“Sporting Lets understands the importance of expanding its reach, internationally.

“In addition to specific sporting attractions, there is also a growing trend for an authentic Scottish experience on a Highland estate and this is attracting new clients from across Asia, the Middle East and Russia and those who are seeking a holiday with a difference.

“Scotland’s 2014 grouse season demonstrated why Scotland holds such a renowned field sports reputation.

“The season was hailed as the best in a generation with sporting estates in Inverness, Aberdeen, and right down to Lammermuirs in the south recording much better than average brace numbers and excellent grouse levels right through to the end of the season in December.

“With over 50 years of experience, CKD Galbraith’s Sporting Lets can offer clients anything from a fully-catered grand lodge with driven grouse shooting – a full airport-to-airport service – right through to a day’s introduction to salmon fishing, a single day’s stalking, whatever best suit the client or party.”
