DETAILS are sketchy, but Spike hears that West Lothian radio station, River FM, closed yesterday, at 6pm, after its owners, the Kingdom Radio Group, failed to find a buyer.
Certainly, closure was on the cards when Kingdom put it up for sale a few weeks back.
And the previous station Kingdom had put up for sale, in Lanarkshire, also failed to find a buyer – though its broadcasting licence was taken up by former Radio 1 DJ, Mark Page, to form L107.
