DJ king of the top 40 countdown

A DISC jockey on Radio Clyde has become the first Brit to ever host one of the USA’s most-popular radio shows – because he’s considered the best of his type in Europe.

On Sunday, Ross King took the helm of the American Weekly Top 40 Countdown. The show is heard all over America and in over 130 countries to an audience of over 80 million listeners.

Rick Dees who hosts the show each week personally chose King to host the show at the weekend. “Ross is simply one of the finest TV and radio broadcasters I know. His huge success on TV here in LA on KTLA Channel 5 as their entertainment anchor brought him to my attention and after hearing his radio shows on Radio Clyde via the internet I decided that we had to have, in my opinion, Europes’ best DJ host my show.”

Added executive producer, Clarence Barnes: “We were really excited to have Ross on the show. He’d already been a guest many times on Rick’s breakfast show, on Movin 93.9 FM
here in LA, and our listeners just went nuts over his accent. We decided then that when Rick needed to take some time off or have a co-host Ross would be our man.”

Ross is on air Monday to Thursday on 1152 Clyde 2 from 6pm – 7pm and on 102.5 Clyde 1 on Sundays from 10am -1pm.
