Entries invited for documentary commemorating Scot, Grierson

ENTRIES are being invited for arguably the UK’s most prestigious documentary film awards competition, set up to honour the Scot considered to be the spiritual father of the genre.

The Grierson Awards were established in 1972 to commemorate John Grierson, famous for documentaries, Drifters and Night Mail.

With a June 1 deadline, all categories are open to documentaries made anywhere in the world so long as they have had a first UK screening during the qualifying period, May 1 last year and the 30th of this month.
