GEORGE Bowie is on holiday. He has not been suspended, as some of the Radio Clyde DJ’s fans might have feared, following his rather sudden departure from his berth on Friday.
It was all a bit of fun.
Which began on Thursday, when references were made throughout the day to ‘something’ Bowie had said during his breakfast show. And when he then suddenly stopped broadcasting on Friday morning, a full 70 minutes before he should have, the conspiracy theories went into overdrive.
Truth is, he said ‘nothing’ on Thursday – certainly, nothing to get him into trouble with his employers – and his departure on Friday was just a stunt to fuel the speculation further.
