THE Daily Record has appointed a new news editor, to take over from Tom Hamilton, who has been made assistant editor of the title.
In something of a coup, according to insiders, the Record has secured the the services of Andy Lines, former head of news at the Daily Mirror and also the Mirror’s former US editor.
