Three Scots helped a team of European journalists defeat their USA counterparts in a recently-created press version of the Ryder Cup golf tournament.
The Evening Times’ Ronnie Cully, The Herald’s Kevin Ferrie and PR person, Alistair Nicol, contributed towards a 5-3 win for the Europeans, over the two-day, Ailsa Cup tournament hosted at Turnberry.
Says Nicol of the event, that’s played bi-annually: “I’ve played in many golf tournaments and outings, but this has to be the best. The hospitality provided by the Turnberry Hotel was magnificent. The golf was pretty good, too.”
