P&J Triumphs at Regional Press Awards

The Aberdeen daily newspaper, the Press & Journal, has emerged triumphant at awards celebrating the best of regional newspapers.

In the category for newspapers with a circulation above 40,000, the DC Thomson-owned title has been made Newspaper of the Year, ahead of Belfast’s Sunday Life, which was highly commended. In the Newspaper of the Year category for newspapers with a circulation below 40,000, the prize went to Carlisle’s News & Star.

Meanwhile, The Herald’s Alison Campsie took the Children’s Society Award for Reporting on Asylum and Refugee Issues, with ‘All I Want to do is Help People’, here.
