Survey inviting journalists to reveal their ethical practice

JOURNALISTS are being invited to take part in an online survey about the ethics they employ when putting together a story.

The survey is being conducted by a student at Strathclyde University, as part of a masters degree in journalism.

Questions being asked in the short survey include double-checking information, the use of quotes and the Press Complaints Commission.

Says student, Ben Cottin: “As part of my dissertation on the efficiency of the British press self-regulation system, I have set up a survey on journalists’ professional behaviours. There are only ten questions and will take just a few minutes to complete.”
