Search Launched for Two 'Creatives' to Join Young Talent Showcasing Roster

A showcase of talented, young creative people is looking to bolster its roster, and for free.

The showcase – currently comprising the work of eight young people, including at least two photographers – is seeking another two artists.

The work appears on a special, New & Talented section of a website run by a Glasgow-based duo, copywriter Ben Braber and art director, Paul Gray.

The pair say of New & Talented: “Why [do we do it]? To rejuvenate our industry, we need creativity. If we want to reap, we’ve got to sow. By giving these artists a chance to show their work, we nurture new growth. They also inspire us. And hey, fresh talent keeps us on our toes.”

Says a statement issued by the pair, who trade as Ben & Paul: “Eight artists are already taking part in this successful project. Since the start of the initiative last year one photographer has received a commission from an advertising and design agency. She has also produced the front cover image for marketing magazine, The Drum. The Drum has also asked the other artists to come in and show their portfolio with a view of future commissions.

“Meanwhile, a second photographer has published a reportage in Scottish newspaper The Herald and a third a fashion shoot in Vice magazine.”
