Comms agency announces biggest contract as first birthday present

A SCOTS PR company specialising in food and drink has announced it has secured its biggest account yet, coinciding with its first birthday.

Taste Communications – launched last summer by former STV presenter, Stephen Jardine (pictured), and former editor of BBC Scotland’s Reporting Scotland, Jim Duff – is to handle all media relations for the Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight, taking place in September.

In a Taste media release, Jardine is quoted, as saying: “We’ve had a great first year in business and this really is the icing on the birthday cake.

“Scottish Food and Drink Fortnight puts us exactly where we want to be, at the centre of Scotland’s amazing food and drink story.”

Taste Communications clients include Ondine, Centotre, Mithas, Khushis and the Scottish Café and Restaurant alongside Cook School Scotland, Braehead Foods, the Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation and the Soil Association. The company is also organising a national conference on food and drink in Edinburgh in September.

Jardine is currently standing in for Fred MacAulay on MacAulay and Co. on BBC Radio Scotland.
