The Media in Figures: Scots regional newspaper circulations (part two)

THE evening newspaper, the Greenock Telegraph, saw its sales dip by 4.4 per cent, year-on-year, according to official circulation statistics.

Says the Audit Bureau of Circulation – in its twice-yearly review of regional newspapers – the paper’s average sale during last year was 12,215, compared to the average for 2012, 12,773.

And compared to other regional daily and evening newspapers throughout the whole of the UK, it is believed to have been second only to Aberdeen’s Press and Journal (at 4.3 per cent down) in managing to keep its circulation dip to a relatively small percentage.
