Associate editorship for Muir at Scottish Sun

THE news editor at The Scottish Sun has been promoted to associate editor, as part of a handful of staff changes at the paper.

Alan Muir has been made ‘number 3′ at the paper, in charge of content, after serving ten years as news editor.

Replacing him as news editor is Gill Smith, after two years as features editor. Succeeding Smith is her deputy and TV editor, Georgina Reid.

She will be assisted by Douglas Walker who becomes No.2 on the features desk, after working as a news reporter.

Irina Nelson joins the staff, as crime reporter.

Kenny Angove also joins the staff on the newsdesk, having been working as a casual. He replaces Gail Cameron, who is leaving to become news editor of the Greenock Telegraph.
