Wedding Magazines Editorship for Crawley

A pair of Scots wedding magazines has promoted its features writer to the post of editor.

Michelle Crawley is the new editor of Scottish Wedding Directory (which is published in January and July each year) and its sister title, Real Life Weddings (which comes out in April and October).  She succeeds Ros Nash who is travelling the world and will also in charge of scottishweddingdirectory.co.uk and reallifeweddings.co.uk.

In a statement issued by the titles, Crawley is quoted, as saying: “I’m delighted to have been given such a fantastic opportunity. I will continue to work hard in helping to strengthen the Scottish Wedding Directory brand, which last year celebrated 15 years of publishing success – and is known affectionately throughout the industry as ‘the brides’ bible’.

“While our publications inspire and give practical advice on the logistics of getting married in Scotland, our trusted directory of Scottish wedding suppliers is our bread and butter; it’s at the heart of everything we do. So that’s definitely an area we will be continuing to develop over the coming months to ensure our products keep up to speed with the digital age of publishing.”

Crawley, who previously worked at Glasgow-based Peebles Publishing and was a regular freelance contributor at The Herald, is also a bride-to-be and is getting married in Glasgow this November.

Recent university graduate, Natasha Radmehr, is the new features writer.
