Cameron begins as Herald deputy business editor

THE Herald has a new deputy business editor.

Greig Cameron started at the paper on Wednesday, succeeding Mark Smith who left to work in the USA.

Cameron has joined from Trinity Mirror, where he was deputy editor of Scottish Business Insider magazine, responsible for the business content in the Daily Record and editor of the business website, www.business7.co.uk.

He was deputy editor of the stand-alone, free, weekly Business7 business newspaper until it was absorbed into the Daily Record 12 months ago.

He joined Trinity Mirror in August 2006 – initially on its now no longer free, evening spin-off, Record PM – from Edinburgh-based press agency, Deadline. He then went on to join the launch team for Business7.
