Discretion the Better Part of Valour?

He's a young man clearly destined for great things. But it was perhaps a case of too much like father, like son when Drew Hollinshead decided to add his thoughts to a Facebook page set up by the National Union of Journalists in a bid to 'save' the Daily Record and Sunday Mail newspapers, which are in the process of shedding 90 journalism jobs.

Son of Trinity Mirror's director of national newspapers, Mark, Drew is a member of the Scottish Youth Parliament. And he showed admirable loyalty, by toeing the party line over the changes taking place at the two newspapers, which last week saw the Record adopt design elements from sister title, the Daily Mirror.

But, as word spread across the Record and Mail newsrooms, suddenly his words disappeared from view, as spotted by one of the site's readers.

Discretion, on this occasion, considered the better part of valour?
