Celebs welcome cameras into their homes to discover potentially wasteful ways

A FOUR-part series examining how people might save time and money by better managing their resources and waste is to be broadcast by STV.

Various Scots celebrities welcome the cameras into their homes to find out what is – as the series is titled – Too Good to Waste.

It is being broadcast from Tuesday, at 8pm.

The celebrities are broadcasters Fred MacAulay and Kaye Adams; actor, Stephen Purdon; comedian, Des McLean; ‘fashionista’, Julie Hannah; journalists, Shereen Nanjiani and Chick Young; and former athlete, Liz McColgan.

A STV statement asks: “But will they rise to the challenge and change their ways to save themselves time, money and resources? Too Good to Waste has a lot of fun finding out.”

Examined are the likes of drafty windows, the throwing away of perfectly good food, uneconomical cars and energy-sapping gadgets.

The programme is being sponsored by Greener Scotland of the Scottish Government.
