Opinions being sought on proposed radio group takeover

OPINIONS are being sought on the proposed purchase of the company behind Scots radio station, Real Radio Scotland.

In June, it was announced that a deal had been struck that would see Real Radio owner, GMG Radio, taken over by rivals, Global Radio – subject to regulatory review.

That review has now begun.

Says broadcasting regulators, Ofcom, the consultation period ends a fortnight today.
