Media and entertainment law the subject of upcoming Edinburgh debate

MEDIA and entertainment law is to be debated at event next week in Edinburgh, featuring one of the UK’s best-known media and entertainment lawyers.

Cliff Fluet will be in conversation a week tomorrow, with Colin Hulme, partner at Scots law firm, Burness Paull & Williamsons.

Says a media release issued by organisers, The WS Society, Fluet – a partner at Lewis Silkin – will be talking about a “wide range of legal issues in the media and entertainment field as well as the politics and economics of digital media exploitation”.

The release adds: “Formerly in-house counsel at Warner Music, Cliff now acts for some of the biggest names in new media music, brands, advertising and production. Cliff is also a director at Eleven, a consultancy business offering strategic and commercial advisory services to media and entertainment companies.

“This event has been created to bring together advisers and clients in the media, performance and entertainment sector, as well as artists, managers, publishers, venues and agencies.”
