Filming and editing course being staged ahead of launch of arts online TV channel

TRAINING on filming and editing arts news and documentary programming for television and the web is being staged in Edinburgh later this month.

It is taking place ahead of the launch, next month, of an online TV channel dedicated to the arts.

Over two days and involving a maximum of four people, the training is being hosted by the Summerhall arts centre, having previously been staged in the Highlands and Perthshire.

It is planned the course will be made available across parts of Scotland, in due course.

Says Summerhall: “We’re aiming to train professionals in the arts – and also media graduates who may need a little top up, as it were – in their practical media experience.”

Summerhall – which currently operates the internet-based SummerhallTV – is launching an online TV station dedicated to the arts – www.artinscotland.tv – next month.

It costs £200 per participant. And the upcoming training is taking place towards the end of the month, depending on participant preference.
