Record plays host to rivals, for subterfuge seminar

THERE was no subterfuge necessary on the part of Scotland’s national press to get into the offices of the Daily Record yesterday.

Representatives were there on legitimate business, attending a seminar being hosted by the Press Complaints Commission on the subject of undercover newsgathering.

The seminar is the second such event on subterfuge that’s been hosted by the PCC; it ran a similar gathering for national newspaper journalists in London in July.
