THE Kama Sutra Restaurant Group has all the ingredients in place for a cracker of a Christmas with the launch of its festive celebrations programme.

The Group operates a trio of restaurants in Glasgow’s vibrant Sauchiehall Street – the award-winning Kama Sutra restaurant, Torres Tapas Bar and Slumdog Bar and Kitchen – as well as The Mill in Darnley and the new Kama Sutra Stirling, and all of them have a cracker of a Christmas in store!

Rajesh Saraf, director at Kama Sutra Group, said: “The Christmas party starts at Kama Sutra. If you’re planning an office knees up or a festive get-together with friends and family, we’ll put the sparkle into your festive celebrations.”

And party organisers have a very special reason to be jolly with Kama Sutra, because the Group is giving them a £100 voucher to spend when they book for parties of 50 or more.

As well as all Kama Sutra Group restaurants offering special Christmas lunch and dinner menus in the run up to the festive period, both Kama Sutra Glasgow and The Mill are offering special menus on Christmas Day itself.

And a Party Nights menu, with dishes served in carousel (thali style), created specially for private parties of 20 or more, can be booked with a DJ and Karaoke on hand to get the party in the swing of things.

Then, once Christmas is over, it’s a case of bringing in the bells Bollywood style, as Slumdog Bar & Kitchen invites diners to experience the magic of a real Mumbai New Year celebration with a five course Indian banquet and a chance to boogie right into the New Year.

Notes to editors

  • Born out of the Harlequin Restaurants Group, the burgeoning Kama Sutra Restaurant Group was formed in September 2010 by group directors, Rajesh Saraf and Asha Bains (winner of the Best Business Woman Award at the Scottish Ethnic Achievement Awards 2011), wife of former Harlequin Restaurants Director Sandy Majhu.
  • Plans for another Kama Sutra restaurant, in Edinburgh, are at an advanced stage. It may only be a year old, but this fledgling restaurants group is ambitious and has plans to grow significantly over the years ahead.
