Media Release: Bubbling away on the Fringes

POMMERY-GJ080

THE pop-up Pommery Champagne Cafe Bar at Edinburgh’s historic Signet Library is offering  an exclusive fringe event this year.

For the first time at the Fringe, on 14 and 15 August 2012, Pommery UK Ambassador Sara Hicks will be running unique private champagne tasting tutorials.

Says a spokesperson: “Pommery is the only Champagne House that offers seasonal Champagnes, which will be the focus for these events.

“This unique event is being sold through the Fringe Box Office and with only limited places available, will be one of the hottest tickets in town.

“The event includes four tasting glasses of exceptional seasonal Pommery Champagnes, plus a further glass of the taster’s favourite, followed by whole roast lobster and homemade potato wedges with aioli and a glass of the classic Pommery Brut Royal, in the bar.”

The Signet Library is hosting the gorgeous Pommery Champagne Cafe Bar from 3 – 27 August with champagne, coffees, sharing platters and tempting afternoon teas on the menu.

Managed by celebrated caterers, Heritage Portfolio, the Pommery Champagne Cafe Bar will be a hub of activity for festival goers and again will be the place to see and be seen this August.

The Sara Hicks tutorials will take place at 3.00pm on 14 and 11.30am 15 August 2012 and tickets cost £50 per person, available at the Fringe Box Office at www.edfringe.com.
