Media Release: Bradford’s launches 2012 Christmas Hamper range

BRADFORD’s Bakers, one of Glasgow’s best-known and oldest family firms, has launched its 2012 Christmas hamper range.

Having supplied hampers since 1924, Bradford’s Christmas hampers offer a comprehensive choice of produce and exceptional value for money.

Claire Bradford, of Bradford’s Bakers, said: “Our food hampers make superb Christmas gifts for family, friends, colleagues, employees or business clients.

“You can select a preferred delivery date in the festive season to have your hampers delivered, and we can dispatch anywhere in the UK and almost anywhere worldwide.”

The vast majority of the products within its hampers have been made by Bradford’s in its bakery on the south side of Glasgow. These include: biscuits, oatcakes and shortbread; jams, chutneys and marmalades; chocolates (truffles and cupcake chocolates); Christmas puddings, dumplings and rich fruit Christmas cake; all cakes and all decorated Christmas Cakes and Biscuits and Christmas Mince Pies

“Due to the fact that we do not artificially extend the shelf life of our goods, our hampers are unique in that they are packed with fresh items made that week,” said Bradford.

“The shelf life of some of the contents mean that we do not start producing them until the first week in December. This enables us to include products that other hamper companies cannot.

“We are also able to vary the hampers to meet individual customer requirements. Our confectioners are only too happy to demonstrate their skills and invent a new and exciting product range that customers will enjoy!”

Whilst any hampers containing alcohol must be delivered to customers, all other hampers can be made available for collection from any branch and Bradford’s can make up orders within branches from its available product range.

Bradford’s has branches in Giffnock, Pollokshaws, Eaglesham, Merrylee, Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Neilston, Clarence Drive, Sauchiehall Street, East Kilbride, Milngavie, Crow Road and Troon.

Its hampers can be ordered online at www.bradfordsbakers.com

Founded in the south side of Glasgow in 1924, Bradford’s Bakers remains a family-owned and operated business with support from skilled staff still baking traditional hand crafted products.
