Glasgow restaurant

AT last, there’s a delicious alternative to turkey this Christmas.

Mussel Inn, the award-winning Scottish seafood restaurant, has dished up a fabulous festive feast and is inviting diners to sea food differently this Christmas.

Mussel Inn’s Christmas menu features starters of: creamy seafood chowder; honey and rosemary roasted goats cheese on a walnut, caper and shallot salad or smoked salmon, prawn and pimento roulade served on a mulled berry and red chard salad.

The main course offers a mini seafood platter of mussels, tiger prawns, coley and queenie scallops gently cooked in a rich seafood bisque; Orkney reared rump steak cooked in a classic chasseur on a bed of creamy chive mash and medley of vegetables or pan fried sea bass fillet rested on a bed of chorizo and butter bean cassoulet finished with a salsa verde.

The selection of delicious desserts offers: chocolate and salted caramel tart served with crème fraiche and white chocolate; warmed sticky date pudding served with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream or affogatto, coffee, ice cream and a liqueur of your choice.

Mussel Inn’s Christmas menu, priced £16.95 for two courses or £21.95 for three, is available from 1st to 23rd December (and lunch only on 24th December).

Located at 61-65 Rose Street, Edinburgh and 157 Hope Street, Glasgow, Mussel Inn is renowned for its passion for its offering of delicious locally sourced fresh seafood, providing excellent value for money and a quick and friendly service.
