Media Release: Red Leaf at Alea launches new Dine Out menu featuring daily market specials

THE Red Leaf restaurant at Alea Glasgow, on the Clyde at Springfield Quay, has introduced a new Dine Out menu featuring daily market specials and three courses for just £20 a head.

With a kitchen brigade run by Scots-born chef Jamie Walker, formerly of the Dorchester Hotel and Mosimann’s in London, Red Leaf features stunning views of such famous Glasgow landmarks as the Armadillo and the Squinty Bridge.

The best of Scotland’s seasonal larder is always on the menu in Red Leaf where Walker creates innovative dishes from the freshest local produce.

Starter options on the new menu include: crisp fried haggis bon bons; glazed Cairnsmore goats cheese; ham hock and chicken liver terrine; Red Leaf house salad; wild mushroom arrancini; pan seared sea scallops and salmon and haddock fishcakes.

The new mains include: poached smoked haddock; honey roasted pork loin; pot roasted chicken supreme on potato rosti; spring vegetable linguine; roasted courgette and saffron risotto cannelloni; turmeric and coriander crusted cannon of lamb; pan fried fillet of sea bream and char-grilled prime Dunbartonshire sirloin, rib eye or fillet steak.

Desserts, meanwhile, are: white chocolate and vanilla cheesecake; sticky toffee pudding; passion fruit crème brulee; iced crannachan parfait; caramelised orange tart; a selection of dairy ice creams; Red Leaf dessert taster and a selection of Scottish and continental cheeses.

Red Leaf’s exclusive private dining room comfortably seats up to 20 guests and has a private balcony over the river. It is open daily from 5.30pm until midnight. To make a reservation call 0141 530 6129.
