Marketing Society Fellowships for five

A DIRECTOR of one of Scotland’s best-known PR agencies has been made a Fellow of the Marketing Society.

Neil Gibson, of The BIG Partnership, was among five Fellows elected by the Scottish division of the Society, joined by Helen Campbell of tourism agency, VisitScotland; Gillian Govan, of the Scottish Government; David Amers, of the Leith Agency; and Gus Chambers, of The Union.

They were welcomed at a drinks reception held this evening at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, in Edinburgh.

Alan Mackenzie, chair of the Marketing Society (Scotland), told allmediascotland.com: “Fellows are awarded because for what they have done for marketing and also because of what they have done for the Marketing Society. It’s more than just a recognition of experience, it’s ‘Have they made an impact in marketing?’ and ‘Have they made an impact on the Marketing Society?’.

Added Mackenzie, who is head of customer communications at the Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks: “The five people here have made a significant contribution and that’s been recognised; it’s a great honour.”
