New agency to handle Johnston Press subscription services

THE publishers of The Scotsman newspaper and several Scots local newspaper has chosen a new company to handle its growing subscriptions services.

Says Johnston Press, it has “handed its print and app subscription services to marketing agency, HH&S”, which will “add 209 JP newspaper titles, including The Scotsman, Yorkshire Post and Sheffield Star, to its existing subscription portfolio of newspapers, magazines and digital CRM [Customer Relationship Management]”.

Adds the publishers: “In addition, [HH&S] will handle subscriptions to JPs raft of smartphone, iPhone and tablet apps which complement 16 of the group’s print titles with up-to-the-minute news and sport online.”

The HH&S portfolio includes The Daily Mail and the i newspapers.

Previously, the contract was with Multi-Resource Marketing.
