Media Movers: Gemma Mackenzie, Peter Henderson, etc

WELCOME to Media Movers, reporting the latest moves within the Scottish media, including promotions and retirements.

FIRSTLY, congratulations to Gemma Mackenzie, who has begun as energy reporter at The Press and Journal newspaper.

She joins having previously been deputy business editor at London-based Farmers Weekly, where she was for two-and-a-half years, including as livestock reporter. Prior to that, she did a nine-month stint on Horticulture Week, also in London, as a news reporter.

She is a MA Multimedia Journalism graduate from Glasgow Caledonian University.

AS already reported on www.allmediascotland.com, Gordon Stevenson and Dave Bohill have been both promoted at Media Scotland – publishers of the Daily Record, Sunday Mail and several Scots local newspapers – to the roles of head of digital and digital editor, respectively.

Stevenson was previously digital development manager, while Bohill was previously online editor.

Their appointments are to fill the gap left by Ewan Watt, who has stepped down as digital editorial director.
