Robertson Chosen as Journalist of the Year at Student Awards

A Strathclyde University student who last year worked at allmediascotland.com, as an intern, has been chosen the top student journalist in Scotland.

Alan Robertson took the prize for Student Journalist of the Year at the inaugural National Union of Students (Scotland) Awards. He is currently in his third year and is news editor of the university newspaper, the Strathclyde Telegraph.

Meanwhile, Stirling University's AirTV took the Best Student Media award.

The awards were held on Saturday evening and saw, among others, Glasgow Caledonian University win the Students' Union of the Year title and Edinburgh University Students’ Association take the Campaign of the Year prize for 'Write to Mike', which urged students to lobby local LibDem MP, Mike Crockart, to vote against the UK Government's student tuition fees proposal.
